Muscle and Fitness Facts     

With one in three adults and one in five children in America suffering the misery of obesity, I make it my mission to address your ignorance and help you find the "key to yourself". My concern is not with the faithful, but rather, the misinformed, the disillusioned and the very, very naughty!

The National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Disease informs us that approximately 280,000 adult deaths in the United States each year are attributable to obesity. And now what has formerly been known as "Adult Onset Diabetes" (Type II Diabetes Mellitus) has reached epidemic proportions in obese children!

These latest staggering statistics come on the heels (5" spikes!) of a recent cultural trend in pop psychology to accept ourselves and nurture our inner child. Unfortunately, for so many, this results in more consumption endless array of ice cream, chocolates, pastries, chips, cheeseburgers, cocktails, etc. All in an effort to fill an inner void because we don't feel good about ourselves!

According to a 2002 study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: only 19% of American women claim to do strength or muscle training exercise and 27% of men. These are very sorry statistics because this kind of training is a primary factor in solving the problem!

Benefits of regular weight training include improved body composition, a more active metabolism, increased functional ability for performing daily tasks, improved glucose metabolism, stronger bones, protection against low back pain, reduced stress, increased self esteem, mood elevation and better sleep.


Forget about ultimate pleasure!

You don't know what you're missing! Many of you admit to your misery long enough to attempt the latest popular diet. Generally, you cut back your calories and starve until you can’t bear it any longer. With will power you may come down to your ideal weight but you have no realistic workable plan for maintaining it and usually, you've shut down your metabolism.

Slowly, you return to your former habits and former size. Thus begins the vicious cycle of yo-yo dieting, which, of course, is very destructive to ones health. As the years go by, this situation is compounded by the fact that muscle mass begins to deteriorate at approximately 2% per year; over a normal life span as much as 30% of muscular strength will be lost.

This vicious downward cycle needs to end! You KNOW that exercise is the answer. Over a long period of time exercise becomes very enjoyable and certain dietary modifications become a PREFERENCE.

You can't know what it feels like to be healthy, fit, and disciplined until you become healthy, fit, and disciplined!

I find it amusing when I see young men with bulging biceps, nice shoulders, a gut, and skinny legs! The core muscles of the trunk - abs, buns, and thighs must be addressed. Devote some easily arranged floor space to your home fitness dungeon. Keep light weights, bands, restraints, tickler, and riding crop tucked nearby. Add your favorite music and voila! Workout with a "good friend" whenever possible and have a little Fetish Fitness Fun!
